Culture Day
Finding love in a place where you'd least expect it
My most current film, 'Culture Day', features secondry school students out on a museum trip where one of the boys happens to fall in love with the paintings. So much so that he literally catches himself momentarily stuck in these worlds!

For some teenagers in this day and age, it's relatively difficult and awkward to truly express how you feel about certain subjects without attracting the ire of some of your peers. Culture Day explores what happens when an unsuspecting secondry school student allows himself to be absorbed in the art world and free to indulge in the works of masters, even if for a fleeting moment.

This film is a mixture of digital cel and painted animation mixed with analogue painted animation including uses of acrylic, watercolour and gouache. The voice actors are voiced by their actual real life counterparts as well as being my close friends. The banter taking place between the boys were entirely unscripted and was truly lads just having fun.
